The Great Commission
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus Christ gives us The Great Commission to go and make disciples of all the nations.
Negligence to this first duty is to forsake the heart God has for His lost sheep. It is our aim to meet The Great Commission through both local and foreign missions.
Local Missions
With an emphasis on relationships, Oikos Ministries’ heart is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those around us.
Through almsgiving, we are able to meet the physical needs as the Holy Spirit leads. A portion of funds is designated to help widows, single moms, and families that have found themselves in financial need.
Spiritual needs are met through relational evangelism. We have found this to be the best way to reach the lost and make disciples – teacher and student walking together, one-on-one.
Through this type of lifestyle teaching, the teacher is able to demonstrate Christianity in real life. The student is able to gain a firm foundation to build upon, so they are able to walk in truth. The trained disciple is then equipped to teach others.

Foreign Missions
Our desire to provide for the truest poor often brings us overseas.
With a passion for the lost, Teryl & Diane Hebert have been to over 30 countries, bringing the light of the gospel to dark places and making true disciples.
As a church, Oikos Ministries has had the privilege of taking small groups on several foreign mission trips. By speaking the Living Word and being the hands and feet of Christ, we are able to meet needs and make disciples. These disciples are then enabled to take part in establishing the church of Christ in their country.
Alongside mission trips, we have partnered with Brother Charles Chuck King and Frontier Harvest Ministries for over the last 10 years as he brings Clean Water Projects, Small Animal Projects, and House Church Planting all over the world.
